The 5 films I am choosing are as follows;
- Walk
- Vudu
- Meow
- I know I shouldn't like it, but I do
- Picking Sides
I really liked Walk because it summed up life in London. I really liked the style and the pace of the editing of the micro film and I also really liked the cinematography along with the backtrack narration I think this contributed to the overall flow of the film.
I liked Vudu because mainly it was to do with football. I liked all of the camera work because it looked very smooth compared to other films I watched and I think the acting in my opinion was the best out of the five films I've picked because narration was at a minimum which is in my opinion key to low budget short films.
Meow is the best short horror film I've seen for a long time. My favorite part is how the director built up tension at the end of the film and how he had the final scream from the main girl at just the right time.
I liked I know I shouldn't, but I do because the narration was completely contrapuntal which I think worked great. Although it linked with what was going on it was still out of place which I think suited the film very well. I also think the acting was very good because again the minimum dialogue compared to the narration in the background.
Picking sided was the best animation I saw today in my opinion. I liked the flow of film and how the little lifeboat just sat there and watched! I think the editing was very good and the sounds were very parallel and realistic. This all together meant the outcome of the film was very nice and the actual animation went with the story very well.
